Who We Are
A fellowship centered on Jesus Christ

Who We Are
We are a Fellowship of Students and Graduates who are dedicated to Follow and Witness Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We have fellowship with each other since we have “fellowship with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ”, both individually and communally.
Our individual fellowship with Christ, which has begun with our faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, has made us part and parcel of the universal, time-transcending Christ-community, bound to the Triune God in communion.
The universal fellowship is demonstrated through the local as well as time bounded fellowships. In this regard, our fellowship is established by a historic reality of our individual involvement in schools and colleges as evangelical students.
EvaSUE had its beginning in 1963 as a small group of students who were dedicated to Bible study, prayer, fellowship with each other, sharing their faith with their friends, and worshiping God at Addis Ababa University. Currently, it comprises students’ and graduates’ fellowships in Ethiopia and abroad.
Students
“Students” in EvaSUE refers to evangelical students in Secondary Education Institutes (High Schools) and Tertiary Education Institutes (Colleges and Universities), whether private or government-owned.
Graduates
“Graduates” in EvaSUE refers to former university students who were part of students’ fellowships during their studies. This fellowship continues beyond graduation and throughout their lifetime.
The fellowship is also open to graduates who came to Christ after completing their education. Graduates actively involved in ministry are considered Associates of EvaSUE.
Our Core Values
Guiding principles that define who we are and how we serve.

We believe in the centrality of the Word of God
We affirm Scripture as the revelation of God’s person and will, culminating in Jesus Christ. The Bible is our foundation for life and transformation.
We are student focused
EvaSUE exists for students. Our mission is to serve them so they can advance God’s Kingdom in their campuses and beyond.
Our fellowship transcends differences
We believe Christ unites us across denomination, ethnicity, language, and economy. In Him, we are one body.
Why We Exist
The heartbeat of EvaSUE — our God-given purpose, domain, task, and expression.
God’s Purpose is our Core Purpose
We exist to advance the Kingdom of God by reaching and equipping students to influence their universities, the nation, and the world. “He set forth in Christ at the fullness of time to unite all things in Him.”
Domain of our Core Purpose is: ‘Students’!
Changing students means changing the world. We believe the time students spend in college lays the foundation for the next 40 years of their lives.
Main Task of our Core Purpose is: ‘Serving’!
We serve with humility and love, following Christ’s example—looking not to self-interest, but to the interest of others.
Expression of our Core Purpose is: ‘A Transformed Society’!
Our purpose is expressed through evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development—building a culture that reflects Kingdom values.
Our Commitments
The four foundational pillars that shape our ministry, mission, and identity.
Evangelism
Reaching campus students with the gospel, the saving message of Jesus Christ.
Discipleship
Helping Christian students grow into Christ-likeness through the Word.
Mission
Equipping students to join the global mission of the Church.
Leadership
Training students to lead with Biblical values in church and society.
